Before updating Cakifo
The new version requires WordPress 3.5 to work so make sure you’ve updated WordPress before updating the theme.
If you’ve read the Hybrid Core 1.5 release post, you’ll know that Hybrid Core no longer recommends that Hybrid Core themes use the SEO module. So instead you should use a SEO plugin like WordPress SEO or others.
Also the image sizes for the custom front page and the slider has changed. I recommend using a plugin like Regenerate Thumbnails to update your already uploaded images to fit the new sizes.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR NICE WORK!
You’re welcome 🙂
Hi there,
I have just installed the cakifo theme on my website, and I love it. I am new to blogging, and wordpress. How do I know what size images to use? Also, how do I get the images to show up on the main slider on the home page? All it shows it text.
Thanks in advance,
Katie
Hello Katie,
You can change the default WordPress image sizes under
Settings > Media
.The theme has some other image sizes registered:
All image sizes will automatically be generated when you upload an image. If you change your image sizes, you can make WordPress generate them for your old images by using the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin.
To get an image to should in the slider you should set it as “Featured Image”.
Hope that helps you.
